Happy Birthday Mom!

 Today was my mom's birthday.  She is a great and wonderful mother and an even better Nini to her grandkids.  She let's them get away with things that I DON'T recall Angela and I being able to get away with.  When asked about it, she just simply replies, "I'm Nini...they can have that or do that if they want to."
  Okay, I get it now:)  

Tonight Dad wanted to take a picture of the 4 grandkids together.  That is not an easy task and anyone who has ever taken a picture of more than 1 kid together can understand that.  He was remembering this picture that we took 2 years ago at his birthday party in October of 2010.  We tried to recreate it tonight in December of 2012.  Look how they have all grown!

 I notice the most change in Owen and Ava.  Ava still had the baby look in the older picture and in the newer picture she looks like a girl and no longer baby.  Time flies too quickly!

One of the gifts we gave mom was a platter made at Purple Glaze with all 6 grandkids handprints.  Jared and Jack were not able to be there tonight because they were in Dallas visiting their Daddy.  They weren't able to play with the kids or see Nini open her gift.  She loved it just the same though, but my boys sure did miss playing with their other cousins!  

Happy birthday Mom!  Hope you had a great birthday and sorry for Angela making you 56 when you were really just 54.  What kind of daughter does that anyways??????????
