Corny Entry

Will LOVES corn on the cob. I always knew he loved corn, he adores all veggies, but corn on the cob has to be one of his favorites! Last night at dinner he ate 1 1/2 ears. I couldn't believe it. This is a child that barely eats....he is not picky, but totally did not get the Fournier side of an appetite. I am sure this will serve him well later in life. It is just cute for me to see him actually enjoying and partaking in his favorite foods for once!

In other news....I am quickly coming to the realization that my little family of 3 is very close to expanding to 4. Believe me, I am ready, but at the same time it does sadden me a little to have everything I have known for almost the last 3 years be coming to a close. It is a good close and we are more than ready for Owen, but still a little sad! Here is a picture taken today of my little family. Soon this fam will look totally different:)

More Owen

Owen is on his way! Here I am 8 1/2 months pregnant! Man, am I getting large!!! I can feel him all the time, much more than when I was preggo with Will. People tell me it looks like I just have a basketball in my stomach. I guess that is a good thing but that stinkin basketball does still hurt sometimes! I thought it would be funny to see how many of Owen's diapers I could balance on my tummy. I was bored since Will was sleeping:) I think I could have gotten more but Owen kept kicking them off of me! My friends came over last night for a girls night and they all brought me diapers and wipes. I have such amazing friends that think of things like this. Jennifer made me this awesome diaper cake out of some of Owen's size one diapers. I don't want to have to use it because it is too adorable, but I know soon I will have to break into that cake to use on baby O. Jennifer is so talented and I am blessed to have her in my life. From Owen and Jackie...."thank you Jennifer!"

Mom's Sad

Yesterday morning while I was taking a shower Will decided to cut his own hair. I didn't even know he was in the bathroom. I left him in the living room watching Dora and he made no sound coming into the bathroom. I think he did this because he knew he was about to do something bad! I hear Steven's electric razor come on (which I had never seen Will even turn this on before), and knew it could be bad. I jumped out of the shower soaking wet to see my son's hair falling to the floor! I was so sad!!! Will thought it was great and was extremely proud of himself, while I was trying to hold back the tears. I think I have decided to just see what it looks like in about two weeks instead of shaving his head. I love his hair and would hate to see it all gone! Thankfully his hair normally grows at the speed of light so in two weeks it could look a little more normal! Oohhh....you gotta love those 2 year olds!

The Day is Set!

July 21st!!! To all of you who are counting down the weeks (it is probably only me) that is 5 1/2 weeks left:) The doctor decided to go on a vacation, not that I don't think he deserves it, but he wants to go right on my due date. Nice! He said he would take him a little early for me if I was willing. Well, I did it the first time around with an induction and I totally want him to deliver Owen too....so I said "book me!" Of course, all of this could be null and void if Owen decides to come earlier. Fine by me as long as he is healthy! My dad thinks he is coming on July 7th and weighing 7 lbs something. He has been right or very close to guessing on all of his previous three grandchildren. I just don't see that happening with Owen though. I think I just make too nice of a home for him to want to come on the 7th. Time will tell!!!
This is roughly what Owen looks like right now. Of course, he is more than likely moving around, kicking, punching, twisting, turning, rotating, and moving non-stop! He is about 5 pounds right now and around 19 inches long from what the doctor can tell. I don't know how accurate those measurements are because every doctor was way off of what they thought Will would weigh and measure. July 21st.....here I come!

The Best City in Texas

The rest of our Austin trip was very fun! This city is called Gruene, Texas (said "Green"). We had so many exciting times here. We both loved the city, with its rich history, and awesome places to visit. The top picture is called the Gruene Mansion Inn. Next time we are in the Austin area we are going to stay at least one night there. It truly is a mansion built in 1872, 31 rooms, and the biggest breakfast I have ever seen served at a B & B anywhere!!! Gristmill restaurant (middle picture) has to be the coolest place we have ever eaten. It is built inside an old barn and then added onto over the years. One of the biggest places I have ever eaten at....so much fun. We met my cousin Amy with her husband Dion and their son Carter for dinner. They paid....thank you very much!!!!!!!!!! The last picture is a picture of Gruene Hall. It is the oldest dance/music hall in Texas. Big name singers like Allan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks and more still sing here on a regular basis. Pretty cool! Overall, we had so much fun and it was a very relaxing vacation before baby Owen gets here:)

Austin Trip Day 1

We left Wednesday and went down to my parents in Norman. We stayed the night there and within 5 minutes of being there Eli, my nephew, had Will out of the car and playing ball in the front yard. We got up Thursday morning and left for Austin around 8:30. Will had just woken up because he stayed up till 10:30 pm the night before.

On our drive down there Jackie made a new friend.....not really! I'm driving and this trucker (about 350 lbs. and that's being nice) pulls up next to our car and starts honking at us, hanging out his window and wagging his tongue at Jackie. He almost runs into the truck in front of him trying to stay up with us. So thinking back to the movie "Joyride" I had just saw where a trucker harassed some other kids in the movie, I decided to speed up and get away from this guy. Anyone that doesn't think a semi can do 85 mph, it can. I was doing 90 mph and this guy was doing everything in his power to keep up with us. I eventually was able to weave around several cars and lose him, but what a weirdo.

We got to our Bed & Breakfast (picture below) and settled in. We ate at PF Chang's Thursday night and drove around the Texas campus a little. I didn't think of it then but I should have put my OU window flag on while we were driving around. At breakfast this morning we had chocolate chip/banana pancakes, granola cereal with fresh blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries, and some Texas style eggs. It was all delicious. So far it's been a great trip.

It's Time for a Blog about Owen!

Okay people....here it is. So many of you have been asking me to show you my belly. Who knows why???? Here Momma and Owen are at 8 months pregnant. I can officially tell people I am due next month now. Whoop Whoop! Here are some other pictures I took around his nursery today. It is all done and just waiting on his arrival. His going home outfit was made by my friend, Andrea. It is too cute. I just love it! He even has his name stamped inside. I thought that was an extra special touch!

The rest of the pictures are just different views in his room. The crib, the changing table....normal things like that. I got the clothesline idea from my friend Jennifer. I have to say I really like how it turned out and I have been getting lots of positive feedback regarding it! Welcome Owen.........please come on time!!!
