"Say Cee" is the Best!

My cousin Kasey comes over a lot to see us! She loves to spend time with the boys and I have to say, the boys adore her as well. You can tell by this picture how happy they are when she comes over. I try to have her over at least once a week and make her a good home-cooked meal (the good is up for debate!)

Will still can not say her name correctly. Instead of Kasey, he calls her "Say Cee". At least, that is how I would think to spell it. The other day we were driving around looking at houses in the Parade of Homes. Completely random Will in the back seat says, "Momma...where is my Say Cee?" I say, "She is in California on vacation." Will replies, "Tell her to come home. I miss my Say Cee!" Sooo cute:)

Kasey, come home quickly because Will is repeatedly requesting your presence here at his house!

New Tattoo

A lot of people have been requesting to see Steven's new tattoo. Here she is....in all her glory. Are tattoo's considered she's? I guess I like it as far as tattoo's go. I would still NEVER get one on my body, but to each his own! Steven likes it and says it was a little more painful than he thought it would be. Boo hoo! Steven designed his tat, drew it up, and took it to Brookside Tattoo to get it done. I think it turned out rather nicely!

Happy 2nd Birthday Emma!

My sweet little niece, Emma JoElle turned 2 this last week. I can't believe how fast time goes! She is such a precious little girl, doesn't say much, can't say my name correctly, and weighs a measly 20 pounds or so....but this girl is a fireball! Here she is posing in her birthday outfit (from her first birthday) with her birthday treat with sprinkles.

Owen came along for Emma's birthday party celebration! He just sat on the floor and played with toys and his great-grandma, Mamaw. She loves playing and interacting with the O man. Here they are in a classic Owen cheese grin:)

Here is another shot of my sister, me, and my other niece, Ava. She is also growing like a weed. 4 going on 14:)

1 More Month Till 1

I can't believe my little "baby" is about to be 1! Time goes by too quickly sometimes in my opinion. Do I enjoy the newborn stage? Not too much. Am I going to miss my baby being so small that he depends on me for everything...not at all! I love that he can do more by himself now, like feeding himself grapes (see above picture). He is such a ham, such a perfect baby in every sense of the word, such a joy, such a love, and such a blessing to my life. Happy almost 1st birthday, my little man:)

Happy Early Father's Day

I would like to give a shout out to my wonderful hubby on this Father's Day weekend! He is the best husband and father to my boys that I could have ever wanted. God knew what he was doing when he allowed us to meet at the young age of 11! Thank you, Steven, for being so dedicated to this family. I never have to wonder how the next bill will be paid, who will help with the boys, or who will give me back rubs because of you! Will adores your sense of playfulness, Owen loves your "baby" play time, and I admire how you love your children! You are truly a blessing to me and our boys. Happy Father's Day....We love you:)

Owen is Standing!

Owen is finally standing! 11 months...you would think it would be about time:) Still not crawling, but he is standing all the time. I don't know if he will ever crawl. I think he might be one of those babies that never crawls. I have finally decided to stop comparing Will to Owen because by this time Will was already walking and almost running! Here is another picture I snapped of the boys that I thought turned out really cute! This was supposed to be just a picture of Owen for his baby book but Will jumped in right at the last second. I thought it was funny because right after I took this picture I looked at their faces and they were the exact same. I don't think they look anything alike but they sure do some of the same facial expressions!

When we went to Guthrie, of course we were looking for antiques but I did find something special for Will Parker. He loves Spongebob to the extreme! I found this stuffed Spongebob for $2.25 at a local antique spot. I gave it to him on Sunday when we picked him up and he went crazy for it:) Here he is showing his love for his new Guthrie find!

Weekend Getaway

Steven and I went to Oklahoma City this weekend for a little getaway. I know, many of you might be thinking "OKC...what is there to do there?" Well, actually downtown bricktown area is pretty hopping! We really couldn't believe it! There were a ton of people there, Redhawks games both nights, the riverwalk was packed, boats jamming, horse rides going all night, lots of music, loud cars, and weird people everywhere! This bricktown water tank was our lovely view from the rooftop of Chelino's. We had to eat there! Not only is it our favorite mexican eating establishment, but it is the first place we ever ate as Man and Wife! Here is a pic we took after we had dined on some mucho bueno mexican!

On Saturday night we were walking around bricktown and saw this ad for the OKC Zoo. They had all these animals you could stand inside and take a picture of. This is when I decided that Steven had to be a centipede! I was laughing so hard I could hardly take the picture. His turned out better than mine did. I was some sort of bird, but the wind was blowing so hard, my pic did not turn out as well!

Saturday we also went to Guthrie. I had read in a hotel information book about different cities in Oklahoma. Of course, living in OK the majority of my life I had gone to most of these places. Guthrie was a place I had always heard about but never actually gone. Steven and I enjoy to go antique shopping but that is something that is extremely hard to do with little ones. They do not understand the fun of walking around booth after booth filled with old treasures. All Will would want to do is get down and run and then I would have to be purchasing all the old things that were now broken thanks to my 3 1/2 year old! We had a lot of fun in Guthrie, enjoyed the old town feel, and walked away with a porch treasure. I wanted to find something to help spruce up my front porch. I found this tricycle that also doubled as a plant stand. Only $10! I was so stoked! Last night I planted some English Ivy in it so that, overtime, it will grow and hang out of the pot and look fantastic! Here are some pics of my new porch!

Steven and I had a great time together and being able to getaway, if only for a few days! Thank you much to our wonderful parents, Nana and Poppa, Nini and Pappy for watching Will and Owen. We love you!!!!

My New Obsession with Hazelnut

People ask me, "Have you just now figured out what Nutella is?" Nope. No way. I have known about Nutella for a while now. In fact, several years ago when Steven and I went to Switzerland, Nutella and Kinder Bueno candy bars (which are also a hazelnut joy) were about the only two sweet things I could stand to eat. ((((Let's not mention how much Swiss chocolate I ate on this trip)))). No, I have always known what joys Nutella would bring if I were to ever purchase a jar, open it and indulge, I just had always had the willpower before when I would see it staring at me from the condiment aisle. Not anymore! Willpower was out the window on my last run to Wal-Mart this week. Don't know why, but I folded. Now all I can do is think about Nutella, dream about Nutella, try to find other foods that it would go perfectly with. Believe me when I say, I.AM.NOT.PICKY! Nutella goes with about everything. Case in point...the following pictures.
Believe me when I say that I have not had an obsession like this one since the Marshmellow Creme situation when I was pregnant with Will. And, no, I am not pregnant this time around:)

Dinner with My Hubby

He surprised me! Mahogany was a great choice for our celebration of 10 years of marriage! I am glad we only decide to do this type of indulgence once every 10 years of so. Man oh man, I am glad I had already paid the mortgage for this month:) It was worth it to get to spend some one on one time with my hubby and sit and talk without having to rush through dinner because of impatient children, feed puffs to a baby, or go change a diaper because the little one decided to explode in the middle of dinner! We had a lot of fun and were blessed to have such a great babysitter with my cousin, Kasey. She did a great job and is what I consider a "mommy in training!" Here's to another great 10 years!

10 Years of Kueny's

Today is our 10 year wedding anniversary. I thought it would be fun to go back and document some of our times together. It actually started about 13 years ago. This blog is dedicated to my wonderful hubby, whom I love more than life!

This first picture is one of us back about 13 years ago when we first started dating. It is one of my favorites because we just look so young. We were such babies here:)

This next one takes us back to the college days. I was a Sophomore in college and Steven was thinking about going to the military. We spent as much time together as we could because we knew in the back of our minds it was all about to be completely different.

This now takes us to Steven's graduation from the Air Force. Truly, I still didn't know if he was the one I was going to marry. I knew I loved him, and we had had a great time at dating but I wasn't sure still. One look at him in San Antonio after several months away and tons of letters back and forth and I KNEW! I love this picture because this is the first time I looked at him and knew we were going to have a life together. He was going to be the daddy to my children:)
Sorry....that one was a little off-center when I scanned it! Oops!

Okay, on with our story....Next came engagement time. My mother in law was nice enough to type something up and send it to the local paper for us to have and treasure the rest of our lives. Here is that announcement!

June 3, 2000 was our wedding day. This day is still one of the most important days in my life so far. I really need to figure out how to scan things the correct way:)

The other two important days in our marriage are November 27, 2006 and July 21, 2009 with the birth of our sons, Will and Owen! Thank you to my wonderful husband for 10 awesome years and I know many more to come. You are the most hard working, diligent, loving man I know. I am truly honored to be your wife!

Memorial Day 2010

I don't look very happy here but I REALLY was having a grand ole' time! Not often enough I am able to get together with all or most of my cousins. I love this time! We all grew up together and are very close in age. On Memorial Day we all were there except for my cousin Amy in San Antonio. We missed her but had fun regardless. This Memorial Day was spent with my sister and all her fam, my two cousins and her son, grandma and grandpa, mom and dad, and my family. Mom and Dad had the pool out, all the sprinklers, toys for the kids, cars to ride, etc. Dad even got out his huge riding lawnmower and gave the kiddos mower rides. That's when you know you are in Oklahoma:) We had a lot of fun, played badmitton, and ate like crazy. Thanks Mom and Dad for hosting!!!
