Swimming is Fun

For many Tulsa people they know about Leapin Louise's pool place near 41/169 in Tulsa.  It is inside Wyndham hotel and this is THE PLACE to be.  Or, at least it was this weekend.  I don't know if it was because it was Spring Break, or a weekend, or because every baseball and softball tournament was being played near there, or due to the Hispanic beauty pagent going on in the hotel, or the Groupon deal for half off your swimming if you stayed the night (that's what I purchased).  Okay, it was probably all those things.  I have never been to this hotel when it was this busy.

I snapped a picture of the inside of the water park at one of the busier times.  It is really hard to get a good picture in here even with your flash on so my pictures tend to be dark.  I saw how busy this place was and immediately thought, "My sister would hate this place!"  Sure enough, I texted her the picture and she responded..."that picture is giving me anxiety."  I pegged her!

Oh well, at least the boys had some awesome memories of this place and being together as a family on one of our last nights of Spring Break.

Spring Break Golf

If you have read this blog for any amount of time you will know this family, mainly the boys, love them some golf.  Real golf, mini golf, Wii golf...they are not picky when it comes to this sport.

Since it is Spring Break week and it was a gorgeous day of about 75 degrees I took them mini golfing yesterday.  It was just me and the littles since the the big boy of the house was still busy working his life away since the month is currently March.

Will was the ONLY one of us that actually got a hole in one the time whole time we were there.  That is actually quite shocking because usually he normally gets more than one or someone else will get one as well.  Oh well, such is life.

Owen and Will were both pretty well behaved and we got through the whole 2 hours of golf with only 1 ball being lost.  Amazingly, it wasn't Owen's.  It was Will's and on hole 17 so that wasn't too bad.  I just let him use my girly pink ball the rest of the time.  Hope everyone else had a good Spring Break too!

A Date Night

On Tuesday night we had a very RARE date night where the boys were not only being watched just for dinner but for the whole night as well.  Thank you Nini and Pappy and Spring Break!!  I wanted to go somewhere that we don't normally get to go to.  A very special treat for us it was.  We went to The Melting Pot.  I had only been here once before with a girlfriend and Steven had never been.  Let's just say we left extremely full and had a wonderful evening.  I am thankful for family that will watch the kiddo's on special days and for a husband that I love even more now after 17 years together.  Life is sweet!

A Few Randoms

Like the title says these are just several random pictures I have taken over the last few weeks.  Because we have been so busy we haven't been doing a ton of "special" things that warrant pictures or blogs.  There are still many times that I snap a sweet pic of the boys here or there though.

I love close ups and profile pictures of the boys.  Those are probably my favorites.  These two are some of my newest fave's when it comes to pictures of W and O.  I love how they are growing up so handsome and sweet.  Don't get me wrong...I do grow weary some days and not every day is their behavior roses and rainbows, but for the most part, they are awesome and obedient kids and I couldn't be more proud.

Spring began late February for us.  It will continue until early June and then we will move into our Summer schedule.  Still busy with work but not Quite as hectic because many families travel (ours included) and several people don't want to be outside enjoying their backyard when it is 110 degrees.

The Home and Garden show always kicks off Spring for us.  This is an entire week (with set up and take down) that I am on my own with the boys.  We do a lot of taking Daddy lunch and/or dinners, walking around the show, and extra things around the house to keep us all entertained.  This was one night when we took Daddy Whataburger and then went to church.  I caught the boys in a loving moment.  These happen all the time with O, and not so much with W.

That day, the boys also went to see a movie with a great old friend, Mason.  They saw Mr. Peabody and Sherman.  Great movie and I loved to see all of the boys together again.  Since Mason now goes to Lincoln (more on our story with that to soon follow), Will doesn't get to see him nearly as often anymore.  I loved that I could find a time for them to get together and spend some bro time.

Speaking of movies....My boys (and I am sure any other kids out there) have been IN LOVE with Frozen since the moment it came out.  Will has been saving money for about 2 years (tooth fairy, allowance, birthday, etc).  He finally bit the bullet and bought his first purchase this morning.  Yep, you guessed it.  Frozen!  We were at Target bright and early on a Spring Break morning (7:47am) to grab his movie.  Please excuse the no make up face.  He barely gave me enough time to get out of my jammies.  I treated the kids to a Starbucks treat after to celebrate Will's first big purchase.  And that, my friends, is how I am typing this blog uninterrupted...the boys are in our bed glued to the new movie:)

Happy Spring Break everyone!

I've Been Gone Awhile

Hello there!  I have been gone for quite some time.  I would like to say that it has been for some awesome reason like we have been traveling the world or having important people over for dinners and dances.  That's just not the case.  We are a family of boys and have been hit with massive baseball practices, games, and scheduling of sporting events all while doing it pretty much alone since Spring has sprung around here.  I am not complaining, just trying to explain my absence.

This is a picture from all the way back at Will's Christmas party at school.  His teacher texted it to me a few months ago and I fell in love with it.  I love my sweet boy and can't believe how big he is getting.

More stories and blogs to come.  Even though we are busy, I will try my hardest!!
