Dora aka "Bagpack"

I walked in the living room this morning to find Will with the remote. Not a rare sight. This time though he was asking for bagpack (Dora) and actually turned on the TV and was flipping through the channels to find her. Low and behold he found Dora and had this huge smile on his face because he knew he was successful. It made me realize just how fast he is growing up!

Pool Day

Will loves him some swimming!! He has no fear at all. As a mom, this is both a good thing and a bad thing. I turn my head for one second and he is off swimming to the 3 foot area where he can barely touch and then he is off to the 4 and 5 foot area. Our neighborhood pool has a beach entrance which he loves because he can just run in! This picture was taken right before we left for the pool. He just woke up from his nap (hence the drugged look in his face!).

I went ahead and did something I said I would never do....I purchased matching bathing suits for Will and Steven. Come on, you have to give a mom to all boys something to work with here. All knows it is virtually impossible to find as cute as clothes as it would be if I were dressing a girl. I had to buy them when I saw them, and I must say the two of them together did not disappoint!!!

All and all we had a lot of fun outside and at the pool. Crispy critters we are, except for Will because I actually did sunscreen him!!!!

Zoo Day and Mowing

I apologize to everyone out there that actually do read our blog. We have been very slack lately in writing and extremely busy with a summer that has actually been filled with days where we can go outside and still breathe. I know we don't have very many of these left in Oklahoma, so I am trying to enjoy as many as I can with him right now.

Last week we went off to enjoy the zoo. The cousins had a lot of fun and were extremely tired by the end of the day. This is a picture of Will, Ava, and Jared awaiting the train. They all looked pretty pooped by this time. The train had to be rode four times by all the children. Will "choo choo'd" the whole time we were on it. Of course, you can not forget to ride the carousel when you are at the zoo. Carousel's make me sick even when I am not pregnant so Will got to ride that one with Nini and not Momma. Fine by me!

Will was terrified with the daddy apes becuase they looked human like and in costume. If you are confused here, read earlier posts about Will and his LOVE of all things in costume. Other than that tramatic experience which resulted in sunscreen in his eyes for the next two hours, the day was a hit!

Now, on to mowing....I just loved this picture of Will I took yesterday. I remember when I was about his age or a little older me doing the same thing with my dad. I would follow him around the whole yard and not go in until the job was completed. I guess Will has gotten that little streak from me. The poor thing was sweating bullets, had cheeks as red as apples...but had to get the yardwork completed! He worked and worked and only stopped with Daddy stopped to get a water break. He had to "park" his mower right beside Steven's, drink out of the same Aquafina bottle (his sippy would just not do on this day!), and continue on until all the yard was mowed. It was just too cute. He napped very well after this!!!!!!!

Sweet Babies

This blog is for my sister....I am sure she will cry:) I just love this picture and anytime I see it it makes me think about the miracle of birth. Yes, I know I am pregnant right now but really this has nothing to do with how I feel about this subject. You can not look at this picture and argue that life is not precious and LIFE in the womb. It makes me sick when people just call babies "fetus". This pictures truly represents human interaction, never mind the fact that this little boy is only 21 weeks in utereo when taken. I think this one picture sums up the importance of life and how this doctor must have felt when he was working on this precious soul and out popped such a little hand! I can't imagine how I would have felt if in this position. Seeing this really makes me want to hold my little Owen even sooner and makes me just a tad more patient when he is kicking and punching me like a crazy man. Thank you Lord for the miracle of sweet babies!

Truck Trouble

I left the house this morning and got about 4 miles down the road. I started hearing this rattling sound coming from the engine (that can never be good) and then all of the sudden I lost power steering and my engine immediately overheated. I managed to limp my truck into a Walgreen's parking lot. I opened my hood and there was the problem. My serpentine belt shredded. For all of you that don't know what that is, it basically means your car won't run without it. It turns out that it's only a $50 part and I've got a friend that is going to help me replace it. Whew!

Jackie did a little research this morning on Insomnia. We're thinking that Will might already have it. He woke up this morning at about 3:30 am and didn't fall back to sleep till almost 6:00 am. So I woke up this morning and made my coffee extra strong and had 2 cups. I also had a coconut donut that Angela gave us. Thanks Angela.
