Our Spiffy Clothes

It's been 6 1/2 years since we've had the opportunity to get all dressed up in super fancy attire.  6 1/2 years!  That's when I left my 3 month old Owen at home and Steven and I went for a night at the OKC Military Ball with my sister and brother in law.  It was super fun then and for an amazing cause...JUST like this night was on Friday.

Friday we attended the CPO (Crisis Pregnancy Outreach) annual gala.  This one gala raises about 75% of the funds for the whole year that CPO needs in order to be able to provide open adoptions and safe places for those mom's who want to stay in tune with their child, but know that there is another family out there that might be able to do it better.  I love CPO and their mission to keep the birth mom close to the adoptive mom and child.  Hopefully, over the years these children will never have any questions about why they were adopted, or who their birth parents are, or why they were chosen.  There are other options out there rather than abortion and CPO is a fantastic place to go if you have questions about the process.

We personally have family who placed their child with CPO and now has had the chance to be involved in her life from the very beginning.  This baby truly has two families now that will love and support her for all eternity.  I have personal friends also who are on the CPO list and awaiting the child of their own that will one day be held in their arms.  This is all in thanks to the volunteers and leaders in this organization that help it to run on a daily basis.  I didn't mind one bit giving some of our money on Friday night to support this wonderful cause.

We got all decked out in our spiffy clothes and headed to the Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa.  THIS is a place I really want to come and stay a night in.  There is so much to do and the hotel is just incredibly cool.  I think we should plan that on our next date night:)

Melinda and Brian were our dates for the night and we had so much fun together walking around and looking at all the silent auction stuff.  We pigged out on a great meal, laughed, and just overall had an awesome time together.  It was an outstanding Friday night in the books!
