First Game of the Season

Saturday morning came and Will's fever had been gone for 24 hours so off to his first flag football game of the season we went.  This is the second year Will has played for Almighty Sports and the second year Steven has coached his team.  To put it lightly...Will was stoked for his game to begin.  He awoke bright and early (before 6:30am) to ask me relentlessly when we were leaving for the game.  Oh, I prayed that 2 hours would pass quickly!

We got to the game early for Steven to set up and the boys to begin a little warm up.  Of course, little brother has to look just like Will.  Practice like Will, dress like Will, play like Will, run like Will...the list goes on and on.  Owen can't wait till he gets to play next Fall when he will be 5 years old.  The countdown is on!

Will played awesome. He pulled several flags of the ones he could catch.  That other team was super quick!  He tried extremely hard to catch all the flags but more got by him than he would have liked.

He got the first touchdown of the game.  I heard everyone yelling so I look up and it is lightening fast Will running down the sidelines (to avoid getting his flag pulled) and rushing to the endzone.  He was so proud and so was his Momma!

Will's team lost their first game but he took the loss like a champ and only said "next time we gotta play faster and better!"  Way to go Tigers on your first game and great job Will Parker!
