Owen's First Game

 Owen had his first ever basketball game today.  This was actually his first ever competitive sporting event.  He did really well!  His team name is The Dominators.  They really did dominate today with a victory over the other team of 24 baskets to 10 baskets.  They don't keep score in the 4/5 year old league but when you have ANOTHER child by the name of Will...that will not fly with him. He very loudly announced after every shot the current score.  He wanted everyone to know that his brother's team was victorious!  

Owen played well making 3 or 4 baskets and several rebounds.  It helps being one of the tallest on the team.  There actually are kids taller than him but they are all 5. I know for sure he is the tallest 4 year old out there:)

I love this last shot because it so clearly defines Owen.  All 8 members of his team are in line listening to the coaches and getting some last minute advice before the game begins.  Not Owen.  Oh, he might have been listening.  But being still?  Nope.  I caught him mid jump/bounce/hop/skip.  Classic Owen.  Way to go today little brother.  Momma was very proud of you!
