The Kueny Boys Discover the Dinosaurs
This weekend we went to "Discover the Dinosaurs" at the Tulsa Convention Center. I am so very thankful we did not have to purchase our tickets as it would have cost $50 just to get in the door and then all the inflatables, mini golf, and food were extra. I knew we couldn't get by without doing those things! Thankfully, our neighbors won some tickets off the radio, weren't able to go, and gave them to us. Thank you very much Jeremy and Marinda!
The first stop was the Stegasauras. I have told Will and Owen for years that this is the dinosaur they look like since each day their hair is spiked. Will wanted to find the "spiky dinosaur" the whole time we were walking around. He was not interested in taking any pictures by any other dinosaur other than this one:) Owen wouldn't come close to the big animals for a picture so it was just Will and Daddy. Owen did warm up to the beasts after about 1/2 hour but he would rather have done this:
What's a little dinosaur exploration without some mini golf, right? Of course, both boys had to do this! Owen was pretty patient and really tried to get the ball in each hole. I didn't think he would do that. I thought he would just pick up the ball after a few strokes and throw it in the hole. I guess he has been watching big brother on the proper technique.
Another fun activity was the Dino Dig. This was basically just several glorified sandboxes filled with sand and "bones". Throw the kids some paintbrushes to sweep away the dust from the bones, charge the parents $6 a child to go in, and make hand over fists money! This is all this place was. The boys liked it though. In one of the pictures you will notice Owen is a little blurry. Shocker!!! He was moving so quickly "dusting his bones" that the shot got a little blurry!
Overall, the boys had a great time. I was sick of all the roaring echoing through the speakers after 5 minutes, the boys didn't even seem to notice it, and the tickets were free. Guess I can't complain!

Run Tulsa Pink
Okay, so my sister is going to kill me but I totally don't know how to crop pictures. Thought I did, Angela, ends up I don't....so, I have to include it in the post because I think we look cute (yes, you too even though you said you looked like crap)! Today we ran the Run Tulsa Pink Fun Run. I had originally wanted to do the 5K (3.1 miles) but knew that Angela couldn't run 3.1 miles (sorry, no offense here), so seeing as how she is the only one that wanted to do it with me, we signed up for the fun run. I was so proud of my sister. This is someone who doesn't run. This is someone who hates exercise. This is someone who LITERALLY told me at 3/4 of a mile that she would rather not eat for 2 weeks than go running with me. Thanks sis! She finished the whole thing in 15 minutes and only stopped one time to catch her breath for a few seconds. I was proud of her and her ability to push through even though she wanted to kill me a few times. Hey, if the grandma next to us with the rolling walker (I am not making this up) can do it, so can she:)!!! Way to go Angela and the other 1,200 people that were with us!

33 Things
Yesterday came and went and I turned another year older. Whew! I made it out alive. Then, my forever friend of 20 years went into labor on my birthday and I was all excited all day that she was gonna have her daughter on April 18th. Since her labor stretched into 22 hours little Eva Gabrielle was born at 2am April 19th. Oh well, I'll take it. April 19th is just another great day to be alive!
A fellow friend and blogger recently turned 32. On her birthday she created a list of 32 things she was thankful for. I am stealing her idea for my birthday! So, here it goes:

My Number Loving Son
This picture doesn't totally show the amount of time, dedication, and work Will spent on it. It is hard to tell in the photograph but it is a white piece of typing paper that my oldest has filled with the numbers 1-100. For no reason. No reason whatsoever, but rather just to do it. He loves numbers. Counts steps. Randomly will break into number counting. Some kids break out into song, Will breaks out into counting. I can only blame my Dad who is a number lover too. I like numbers as well and find myself counting steps or flights of stairs or the fact that I used to know how many EXACT steps it was from my front door to my sister's front door in our old neighborhood. I could even tell you, if you were wondering, how many steps it is from my garage door to the neighborhood pool two streets away. I won't bore you with that though. Ask me if you really want to know and I will tell you:) Oh, my sweet 5 1/2 year old. He has no choice but to love numbers. Your Pappy would be VERY proud of you Will:)

My Florida Goal
6 weeks ago I blogged about our trip to Florida and the goals I have set for myself in order to get there. Exercise and a "life change" (because I refuse to call it a diet) were my 2 main goals for myself before making the 14 hour drive to Destin.
It has now been 6 weeks and because I realize you are all DYING to know about my progress...here it is. As of this morning, I am down 8 pounds. Not much, but it has only been 6 weeks and I know I didn't have a ton to loose in that time. I have always heard unless you are obese it is harder and takes longer to loose weight. Great. Just the motivation I need!
Here is some other "motivation" I don't need. His name is Steven Kueny. That's right, my husband. Case in point...I work my butt off (I wish literally) and loose 8 pounds in 6 weeks. He skips a few meals, works in the sun, and looses 4 pounds in a week. Nice.
I have decided to post a few choice words on this matter because it annoys me so much and I am sure every other WOMAN out there who has to work doubly hard just because we were born FEMALE. Here is my take on it and a way to vent my frustrations:
Me: drink 90 ounces of water a day
Steven: drink coffee, Red Bull, Pop, and maybe 8 ounces of water a day
Me: eat healthy foods and healthy snacks
Steven: eat whatever he wants. fried, grilled, smothered, anything....
Me: work out 4-5 times a week
Steven: hasn't stepped foot in a gym in over a year
Me: do 30 minutes of ab/core work DAILY and STILL HAS FLAB ON MY STOMACH
Steven: hasn't done a crunch since basic training in the military STILL HAS A FLAT STOMACH
Me: step on the scale and loose 1/2 pound, sometimes nothing
Steven: step on the scale and loose 4 pounds
There....I am done with my venting. I love you Steven, but do hate SOME THINGS about you:)

Monday Bowling Nights
Each Monday night the boys and I pack up and head out to Mom's after nap time. We have done this for about 3 years now. Each Monday night for 4 months out of the year Steven plays in a bowling league (yes, he is 80 years old!). Because I like to be entertained and need a break from the boys by this time of the day, we head to Mom's. Still not a total break for me, but it is 5 or so straight hours of the boys playing together and entertaining each other inside and out. This last Monday Kasey was able to come to Mom's too and enjoy all the activities!
Yesterday was pretty weather and no rain so the boys spent 99% of their time outside. When they do this I tend to fall off the wagon on diaper changing. I figure he's good unless he has pooped and in that case I WILL change it! Yesterday, Owen no pooped, so Owen no had his diaper changed. (That was Will talk in case you were wondering). Owen decided to take it upon himself to change his own diaper....see!
No shame whatsoever!!! Just stripped his diaper off and continued to play t-ball. We thought it was actually pretty cute and Mom and Dad live out in the sticks anyway, so what's it really matter, right??? Owen had a great night and enjoyed about 1/2 an hour of very "free" play:)

Easter 2012
Easter came early for the Kueny's this year as our wonderful church, Church on the Move, held a good Friday service tonight. The service was excellent, as usual, packed, as usual, and over at exactly one hour (that was my guess as well). The two smallest Kueny boys got all decked out in their "Sunday best" (on a Friday) and headed out for COTM. A big thank you shout out to Andrea and A La Modish for creating Will and Owen's fabulous Easter ties. Andrea, you gave me ties last year for the boys too and I think this needs to become an Easter tradition as the boys continue to grow. Think of it as good marketing....!!!! I mean, come on, every parent thinks their child is cute but when I see my boys decked out in something other than dirt, grime, and diapers I can't help but gush at how handsome they are and how they are going to make some girl very happy one day:)
Before Easter service the boys and I dove into egg coloring. NOT SOMETHING I really wanted to do with Owen (for obvious reasons) if anyone follows this blog or reads my status's on Facebook you will know why. Will and I began the process but I improperly judged how long it would take to boil 18 eggs, so after a much TOO SHORT nap Owen walks out and is completely ready to join in on the fun. Oh well, change of plans and Momma just moved the activity outside. Spill all you want Owen. Actually, not one of us spilled which I was very pleased with. Owen did crack a few eggs throughout the process. You will also know, if you know Owen, that he is not the most gentle child. He broke several. Those were his. Then he ate them. Of course. His job was to "color" for about 5 seconds, then destroy the egg, then eat, or feed the egg to the neighbor dog.
I laugh at the above picture because Owen looks so mean and Will looks so meek and sweet. Totally their personalities except Owen is not mean. He just likes to look it and appear tough at all times. Like an "I'm a football player and I am going to destroy you measly egg!" tough at all times!
Amazingly Will decided to color his hands as well during this process. I say amazingly because look what color he decided to paint himself with....
If you guessed blue you would be correct 99% of the time. Today was green for some reason. I think he liked me calling him Captain Hulk all day:)
Happy Easter to everyone out there and I hope everyone has a great weekend celebrating Jesus and spending time with your families!

Daddy's Time in Pre School
Last Fall I had the chance to go to "Spend a Day in Pre K" with Will. This Spring it was Daddy's turn. Steven didn't know all it would entail and how many stories/songs he would have to sing during his 3 hours in a pre school classroom. From the looks of it though, he took his job very seriously....
Very deep in thought Steven was....."what's the answer to C makes what sound??" The other Daddy Steven must have known that answer rather quickly because he obviously thought the question was so easy he could just sleep right through it:)
Oh my, that cracked me up!
Steven said he had a great time making memories with Will. His first statement was, "I didn't realize how much Mrs. Snow sings." Well, how else are you supposed to keep 22 preschoolers entertained?
Snack time and reading time were also involved in the day. Normally Will's classroom is a snack free room but on special occasions Mrs. Snow works with all the allergies to make an extra special treat for snack time.
I love that Will's teachers allows parents to come in and observe and take part in their child's normal day to day schedule. I love that she allows the parents to be active participants in their learning. I love Mrs. Snow and all she has done for Will this year. Thank you teachers everywhere!!!

A Date with Kasey
The boys love their "Aunt Kasey". She's not really their aunt. I guess she would be their 2nd cousin. For all intents and purposes she is just like an aunt to them. They love to play with her and her doggy Sadie Belle. Yesterday, Kasey saved the day AGAIN by taking her day off to come and watch the boys so I could go to work since Daddy couldn't get home in time. What a lifesaver! Here are a few shots of the boys playing outside with Kasey. They love and enjoy her so much!

Bass Pro Fishing
This weekend Steven's parents got to come up to Tulsa to visit us and see the boys. We love when they come and wish it were more often, so when they are here it is CONSTANT play time! Of course, the boys enjoy this tremendously!
Saturday morning started off with Daddy, Will, and Poppa going to Mohawk to golf. Will was awoken bright and early to leave for the links. No complaining though. Not from him who like his Daddy would wake up at 4:30am to make a tee time. Sleep is totally more important to me than a little white ball and a hole verrrryyyy far away! Steven said Will did great and never complained or wanted to go home even after hour 5 was dragging on. He is quite the trooper!
Another fun activity we did while his parents were here was Bass Pro. $3 buys a lot of excitement when you have boys. $3 worth of fresh, slimy, gooey, slithery worms and we were set for fishing! Los Cabos right next door had live music playing, people were everywhere, the sun was setting, there were no mosquitoes, the 90 degree day was fading, and Owen WASN'T eating the worms....it was a great night!
