A Family Affair

The Kueny side of the family has had a very busy (some might say stressful) two weeks.  It actually all started about a month ago when GG (Steven's loved grandma) took a fall and broke her hip.  This all happened when everyone was in town for Elizabeth's (Steven's cousin) wedding shower.  People rushed from the shower to be with grandma at the hospital.

Fast forward 3 weeks and it's the weekend of Elizabeth's wedding.  Grandma had just turned 89 and died one day later on Nov 5th.  Everyone again rushed to Tulsa to handle the duties of taking care of Grandma and preparing her funeral all while attending the wedding celebration of Elizabeth and praying that Bridgett could hold onto that baby in her tummy until the week of the funeral.  All while at this wedding, Rachel (Steven's sister) fell on the dance floor and tore her ACL while she was attempting to rock a move.  That surgery will be scheduled later in the year.

Bridgett did get to hold onto that baby a little more and this past Wednesday she delivered sweet 6 lb Haylee.  I got to see and hold and smell that sweet 5 day old baby all weekend.  Owen LOVED her and asked if we could "buy one".  He held her the most out of all the grandkids.

These past few days we took the boys out of school and headed to Norman to celebrate two lives.  The life of GG and the life of Haylee.  It was amazing to get to spend some time with the Kueny side of the family.  The boys relish the times they get to spend with their Uncle Daniel who lives in Hawaii.  Since he lives so far away you can imagine we don't get to see him too often.  They love to tickle and tackle and hang all over that man.  It's so sweet:)

Our weekend was filled with fun, some tears, laughter, some more tears, a little drama, games, swimming, snow, and family.  It was perfect and we enjoyed it.  Hope you had a great weekend too.
