They Got Bikes
This Memorial Day weekend was filled with rain. We weren't bummed about that though because it was very much needed in this hot state of Oklahoma! In between rain storms the boys got brand new bikes for summer! My boys have never really been into bikes that much (they loved their big wheels though). Bikes aren't balls. In this house, balls rule. Balls for any sport imaginable they like. Bikes? Just not balls! But, I finally set them down and told them they HAD to ride bikes, all kids do it, and you will learn too. This weekend we tried just that. We are still trying but it will happen and hopefully soon!! They love them as you can tell from their smiles. Now, just to learn how to balance on those darn things!

Godly Blessings
We are thankful for many things. Many many things and opportunities in our lives have been given to us for which we always need to remember to say "thank you". One such blessing that we are beyond thankful for? Friends!
Steven and I have so many friends and families here in Tulsa. Many of them are great to hang out with on any occasion at the drop of a hat. Those are the best kinds of relationships where you can just call them and say, "Hey, you want to meet at Cherry Berry in 20 minutes?"
In the last couple of years we have been given the friends of the Kuykendall's. These people are awesome! All 4 of them are great people and fun to be around. Not only are they a wonderful Christian family but they also have 2 boys just like us. Not only just 2 boys but exactly our boys ages of 4 and 7. Talk about wonderful play mates for our kids! I love that God saw my request for Godly friends and then not only blessed us with just that, but just that and boy children to boot! I don't feel bad yelling at one of my boys to pull their pants up in the yard, or to stop throwing rocks at passing cars, or to stop tackling on the floor in the restaurant because FAITH JUST DID THE SAME THING TO HER BOYS. Oh, that makes me feel good:)
I have been given many friends. Another great one is Diana. Diana and I have worked and coached together for 4 years now at Almighty Gymnastics. Starting next year she is quitting to work full time with her husband. I am pretty much quitting and only working one day a week so I can spend the rest of my time working more in depth with our businesses and our flip houses. Less time flipping kids and more time flipping houses:) And creating beautiful kitchens out of nothing like this one!
This kitchen will be in our 41/Peoria house. Coming soon!!!

4's a Crowd
I said our weekend was busy. I wasn't lying. We added two more children to the mix so that Angela and Joe could have a weekend together after his deployment. I like kids, really I do; but I am SUPER thankful I only have 2 of them. I give mad props to those families with more than 3 children. Once you become outnumbered (as in adults) you feel like you are just on defense the whole time. On the flip side, I have to say the kids were all pretty awesome with minimal fighting and no tears from anyone the whole time. No injuries, no broken or lost dolls or toys, no tackling, no dualing divas, and no tandrums. Pretty good weekend in my book.
Norman was a hit this weekend. He's always a hit with my boys but the girls TOTALLY enjoyed him this weekend too. Ava was so great with him and totally in her "momma mode" all the time. I never had to do anything with this dog for the whole weekend. She fed him, watered him, played with him, took him out on potty breaks, crated him at night, gave him snuggles, and protected him from the little kids when he was worn out from playing. This girls is going to be an amazing momma one day if Jesus hasn't returned yet!
Saturday night was church night so as soon as we got home it was time to take showers and baths and get in jammies for popcorn and a movie night. Movie choice was "Dolphin Tale" and I think they went through 4 mini bags of popcorn! Late night on that massive pallet as there was lots of talking, snickering, and laughing till about 11pm.
You know what happens when you don't go to sleep till 11pm and then wake up at 6:45am? You fall asleep in the car after 3 minutes. Complete with drool and snow boots (yes, he totally dressed himself). He didn't care that it was 84 degrees outside. The snow boots was where it was at!

A Full Weekend
Everybody has full weekends right? I know we can't be the ONLY ones:) This weekend was extremely busy because I added two more kids to our crew for a total of 4 kids and only 2 adults. I don't like being outnumbered! More on this development in tomorrow's blog.
The weekend started off with Owen going to his gymnastics class. Is he a gymnast? No. Not at all, but he does enjoy it and being with his "girlfriends" (aka..all the other girl gymnasts). He gets to go for free since I work there and I'm already there teaching that class so on Thursday's he gets to join in. He's such a stud as proved by this picture I took on Friday after picking him up at his play date with another friend.
Friday was Will's last spelling test as a 1st grader. To be completely honest, I have been burned out on spelling tests for about 6 weeks now. Not sure if he was, but this momma sure was:) Anyways, he works hard every week on them and even with baseball added to his schedule (which I must admit makes studying his words every day much harder) he still tries pretty hard. He killed this test with a 102% for his last test as a 1st grader. We celebrated with Braums later that night!
Saturday and Sunday were filled with multiple trips to Lowe's and the flip houses. We have 2 houses going now also during the busiest time of Steven's year with work. Not awesome planning on our part. One of the houses got a new coat of paint this weekend and it's starting to look more and more awesome. I can't wait to get these both on the market. Our goal is another 6 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Mother's Day Tea
Today Owen treated me to a Mother's Day Tea at his pre-school. I loved getting to spend one on one time with my O man and I always enjoy seeing him in action with his friends. The child takes after the Kueny side (and that's not bad) but he talks to EVERYONE. You are not limited to having an Owen conversation just because you aren't sitting at his table. He will find you and yell (I mean talk) to you from 2-3 tables away if he so wants:)
Owen indulged in some muffins and cookies with a peach Snapple. He ate about 2 bites of each thing, took 2 drinks of his tea, and was ready to go. No sitting still for this guy. He wanted to go home and watch Team Umizoomi and play with Norman. His words exactly.
I sure did enjoy my time with him although it was pretty short at right at 23 minutes. That's how long he lasted on this Mother's Day Tea outing.
My favorite part of the 23 minutes? When the teachers read a student inspired list of stuff about their mom's. Man, some of those were pretty funny. I love number 16 on his list though. Yes, I am clearly the only girl in this house which I guess makes me a princess in his eyes. I'm okay with that:)

Bestie Time
Last Sunday I had the joy of picking up my best friend at the Tulsa International Airport (really can you call it "International" when you only fly to Tulsa and then somewhere else before you go "International")...sorry that has always bothered me. Anyway, I digress. Andrea came to visit us! I was so excited for about a month before she arrived. I wish she lived closer just to do simple things like grab a lunch or a quick Starbucks together. Of course, I miss her. But I think I miss those simple things even more. I have friends that I LOVE here in Tulsa (for which I am so grateful for) but nothing compares to a life long best friend or life long best FRIENDS.
Chris also came into town on Saturday and Sunday. He and Steven golfed on Saturday with Will in stow. It was 95 degrees and they took 4 hours to golf but Steven says that Will never complained, never wanted to quit, and just kept right on going. Yep, that's pretty much how Will is with any sport!
Our short few days together were filled with laughter, sports, friends, family, food, coffee, drinks, baseball, pedicures, and more coffee. Sounds pretty perfect to me!
Owen had a perfect raspberry day too that I had to display. I can remember doing the exact same thing as a child (but with olives). Great childhood memory!!

Welcome Norman
For the last two days we have had a secret. A 3.4 pound secret. Welcome the newest MALE of the Kueny family...little 9 week old Norman. I've waited to say anything until this little guy actually had a name. There have been tons floated around but none stuck like the last two options. Murphy or Norman. I liked both but since Norman has meaning to this family...I introduce to you Norman Kueny. He's a Morkie. Half Maltease/Half Yorkie and the perfect dog for his family. No shedding, tiny, and I still have not heard him bark ONCE:)
He's absolutely wonderful with the boys and patient. His first night in his kennel he slept 7 hours inside of it without using the potty. He only whined for about 15 minutes and then was silent the rest of the night.
Momma caved. Pure and simple. There really are no other explanations. Everyone in this house has wanted a dog (Owen in particular) and when we found the "perfect" dog for this family we both had a hard time saying no.
I am completely, 100% outnumbered now as even our dog is a boy. I'm okay with that. I don't mind being the Queen of the Castle:)

Spidey Man
This boy just left! Just left to see the Amazing Spider Man 2. I don't know if he will make it through the whole movie because I have heard it's pretty long but I know he will try. He loved seeing Captain America with his daddy and he was equally excited today to see another one of his favorite super hero's.
It's off to another date with my oldest now:)
