The Thong Song
So I was with my neighbor Olen the other day and while we were driving down the interstate there was this lady who was having some car trouble on the side of the road. We didn't stop because there was already some guy pulled over helping her, or maybe he was helping himself. Why? Well, the lady was bent over and sticking up out of her jeans was her thong. We noticed it going by at 70mph so I know this guy knew what he was doing. Well on our way back her hood was up and she was leaned about as far up in it as she could go. She was working it big time. I'm sure the guy knew what was wrong with her car about an hour ago too :)

Rain
We are getting tons of rain here. Our swale that our grader put in is working out well. So anyway, I was on my way home from bowling this week and there was a bad accident on the Creek Turnpike. Some car got crunched. I had just passed it and then a cop car turned his car sideways and blocked the road. I looked inside the car and didn't see anyone. I couldn't tell if there was any blood anywhere. It reminded me of the time that I was on my way to work in Norman and just as I was getting on I-35 this Suburban on the other side of the interstate flipped. Neither the passenger or driver were wearing their seat belts. I stopped my truck, jumped out and ran over to the lady lying in the middle of the road. She was concious but had a broken leg. The man driving got thrown about 30 or 40 feet and when I walked over to him he had blood coming out of his eyes, nose, and ears. Another lady grabbed a blanket and put it over him because he was gone. The lady in the middle of the road was screaming, "Why are you covering him up?" Be careful driving in the rain and always wear your seat belts. If you don't wear your seat belt you're an idiot.

Hammer Fist
Hammer Fist. That is the name of our bowling team. Why you ask? Hammer: because everyone on our team has a Hammer bowling ball. Fist: because when you get a spare or strike you make a fist and pound it with the other person. If you're cool enough you can explode it when you pound. Last night I put up some big numbers. I bowled a 247 my first practice game, 179 my first real game, 228 my second game, and 189 my last game. I'm thinking about growing a mullet and trying out for the PBA.
Today, it seemed like I was running around everywhere. Broken Arrow to Jenks, Jenks to Tulsa, Tulsa to Owasso. I probably put 300 miles on my truck today. It's been a good truck. I've got 226,500 miles on it and it still runs great and the heat and A/C both work, bonus!

My Birthday
Saturday was my birthday. My 30th birthday! Crazy. I don't really feel any older but have felt 30 for six months or so now. Steven turned 30 in October and I always think of us as the same age. I guess Saturday was just the actual truth to the big 3-0. This picture was taken at Mom and Dad's on Thursday when we had our family birthday dinner. I think Will looks like Steven, but I also do see me, so I guess he is a good combo. I wonder what or who Owen will look like???
Steven was in charge of my surprise party on Saturday. I really didn't have ANY idea he was doing something. It all went off without a hitch except for him realizing at the LAST second that he forgot to invite some of our friends. Oops. I hope they don't get their feelings hurt if they know who they are. Hey, he can't do everything without a little "wife supervision" (which of course he didn't have!). I have great friends and family who showed up and helped him plan a lot of the get together. I am truly blessed even though I am officially three decades old!

Chick-Fil-A Madness
So my little 2 1/2 year old LOVES him some Chick-Fil-A. I have to say that it is really good food, although I do believe it to be a tad overpriced. Anyway...so we are at CFA the other day and Will is eating so well (that is a major accomplishment for him, let me tell you). He is so excited (note the picture) and is thrilled with his kids meal fun toy. Needless to say, it did not last long. About five minutes or so after this picture was taken the horrible CFA cow came waltzing by the window and into the restaurant. For all you parents out there that have children that literally flip a lid when they see adults dressed in funky costumes, you can understand me here! Let's just say that if I didn't get him calmed down in a matter of seconds all of that wonderfully expensive lunch was about to come up:) Thankfully the cow must have sensed my hesitation for him to come any nearer because he turned around and left. Thanks in part to Will's Nini who jumped right up and told the cow to leave because her grandson was about to go into an all out fit. He was DONE eating at this point and just wanted to sit in someone's lap to be comforted. Oh, my sweet boy. When will he grow up and realize how funny this story will be one day?

Springtime Tulips!
You gotta love spring time! I know that I do. It is my favorite season. Last night we went to dinner and these tulips were in the front walkway area. I thought they were too pretty to resist and so I had to have Will pose with them. He doesn't usually smile for the camera, as you can clearly see, but he REALLY is a happy boy! He loves to smirk for the camera. Oh well, I guess I will look back on it one day and miss these times! Tonight is Daddy's softball games but they are much too late for a 6 month pregnant woman with a 2 year old. 8 and 10pm. Why do they do that? Tomorrow is off to Norman to see our niece and Will's cousin, Lola, get dedicated at church. Busy weekend! Talk to everyone soon, Jackie

I think when you have a boy child they are just prone to getting bruises, cuts, scrapes, etc... Will always seems to have one or all of the above. It's probably from all the wrestling him and I do. Will got this toy from a b-day party and it had a sucker on one end. Well, I opened it up and gave it to him and told him not to tell mommy. Well, that's the first thing he wanted to do so as soon as we opened it he had to run show Jackie. Oh well!
With my job I get to meet all kinds of random people. Yesterday I met a guy, very nice, but he told me that as soon as he got the retaining wall built I was quoting for him he was going to move to the country and start building underground shelters??? He said the rapture was going to happen soon and wanted his brother who was not a Christian to have somewhere to go. And then the appointment right after that the lady asked me if we could shave concrete. Sometimes it's kind of hard not to laugh.
