British Clown Masks

This last weekend the boys began flag football.  They have been practicing for about 3 weeks but Saturday was their first game of the season.  Both boys were super thrilled to finally be on the field playing what they love.  Football is FOR SURE Will's favorite sport and Owen likes it because Will does:)

Will did a great job with 2 touchdowns in the game. Owen didn't have any TD's but he did have 2 completions playing quarterback.  Will's team won, Owen's team didn't but thankfully Owen cares more about the after game snack than he does the scoreboard.

The rest of our weekend was spent mowing, running, doing laundry, and catching up with things around the house.  Does everyone else have weekends like that or is it just us??!

Owen and I swung by two different grocery stores this week.  Earlier we went to Walmart because he was home with a fever and I was out of Tylenol.  This is how he decided to go to the store and I wasn't gonna fight it.  It became "Pick your outfit Wednesday" around here real quick!

Today it was a trip to Reasors to grab another milk since my family guzzles it too quickly.  It was just a quick run in but Owen had to stop and try on the Halloween garb.  Then he wanted pictures of himself in each one.  Then he wanted to see each picture.  Then he wanted me to text them to people and then he wanted them on Facebook.  Yes, he told me to post them.  Crazy boy.

And the last 20 minutes of our trip home he was speaking in a British accent.  For no reason at all...just practicing it.  It was hilarious and he was actually pretty good at it.  Owen does things on his own time table willingly and well.  I've just learned that when he wants to do something he will do it.  We are still working on the "doing something on Mom's timetable."  Hopefully we will get there.

Maybe if I fed him some fish and chips while wearing a clown mask he would do things more willingly for me......
