Bathtime and Rhema

Owen is now six weeks old. Hard to believe! Sometimes I feel like it has been longer than that, and other times I can't believe he is 1 1/2 months old! Unlike his brother who hated every second of bathtime at this age....Owen loves it. He feels at home, I do like to think, in the tub. He tries to coo but it really only comes out as a gurgle sound right now. Will is always around to "assist". He plays with the soap and always asks to wash his "baby Omen's hair!" It's actually quite cute to watch!

Over the beautiful weekend we went to Rhema to feed the ducks, turtles, and fish. I will post another blog soon with pictures from that trip. Owen could have cared less where we were. He was only interested in snoozing in his stroller. Since this was only the second nap he had taken this day, Momma did not care that he was not enjoying his stroll in the park. This is how baby looked the whole time we were there:)

Overall, it was a very good trip to the park and we are enjoying both of our sons in this gorgeous September!

OOPS!

Due to Owen and Will deciding this is the EXACT moment they both wanted to wake up from naptime, this will not be a long blog! I just wanted to quickly post what I did to Steven's hair this weekend. Big oops! The clippers finally broke down (after 8 years of wear and tear) right during his cut. Double oops! He demanded he throw a hat on and go buy new clippers immediately! It ended up still being a bad deal and I had to shave his head because the new clippers did not work like the old ones did and I ended up messing up his hair even worse during the blending stage. I am not a professional here people, nor have I ever claimed to be! I like his hair shaved. It reminds me of all the military years. This is probably why Steven hates it. He doesn't like to be reminded of those military years. Triple oops! I think he still loves me though:)

Adapting

We are adapting nicely with 2 kids in the house now. Sleep deprivation is not as bad; still happens though. Last night I was so tired that I sleep walked into the bathroom, turned on the light, opened the shower door, and when it woke Jackie up and she asked what I was doing I told her I was looking for stuff for her eyes. I didn't remember any of it, of course, the next morning. I think I've even done a few midnight feedings that way also. I'll feed Owen in the middle of the night and the next morning have no recollection of it.

Will has done great with his brother. Other than sitting on him, kicking him, head butting him, poking his eyes, stepping on his head, throwing stuff at him..........he's done great. He really does love him though and always wants to "introduce" people to his baby Omen (and Will calls him)! We're also trying to break Will of his ear piercing girlish scream. He screeches so loudly and high that it hurts your ears. I'm sure Owen would cover his ears if he knew he had hands.

Having two boys is great. It's going to be lots of fun when they can both wrestle with their daddy and play sports

A Little of Will

A lot of our posts recently have been about the new addition. I thought Will deserved one of his own this week. He has been such a GREAT big brother. I could not have asked for an easier and better transition than what it has been. Yes, there has been a little drama (this is to be expected with a new baby and a 2 1/2 year old!)

Steven has done great doing a few more special "daddy things" with Will while I have been busy tending to Owen. Right now they are at the pool spending some quality time together, while Owen is napping. This is the ONLY reason why I have time to post right now:)

The other day I was walking around the house and I heard this strange sound. I walk down the hall and find Will decked out in daddy's shoes. He had been following me and walking around attempting to get my attention. I don't think he talked to me because he was too deeply thinking about walking and not falling. I had to run and get the camera and have him pose wearing his new shoes. He thought this was so funny and talked about daddy's shoes the rest of the night!
