This weekend my best friend of around 23 years came to Oklahoma to visit. She was here to do a photo shoot for her clothing line, A La Modish. Will got to have his very first modeling experience when she asked if he would be one of the size 5/6 models. "Um, yes he will" I said. He wasn't too thrilled about it at first but then I told him he would get a 1/2 day off of school and that there would be a special treat for him waiting at the end of the shoot. He was all about it then. He decided on Starbucks for his treat. I love that boy!!!
The night before the shoot we had to spend a couple hours steaming and ironing some of her samples for the show. She began hanging them on the basketball rim and it actually ended up working quite nicely for the job needing to be done. In that two hours I learned the difference between ironing and pressing and how to hold a steamer without getting 2nd degree burns and leaking water everywhere. It has informative to say the least.
On Thursday evening Will had his Kindergarten performance at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Theater (of Kristen Chenowith Theater)....Broken Arrow grabs onto any "famous" person we have to name things after:) Will did stellar with a front and center performance of "My Dad is in the Army". I realize his dad was actually in the Air Force, but he seemed fine with standing in the front and singing proudly about his dad regardless it it was the correct branch! Once again, he was decked out in A La Modish clothing and looked like a big stud. Biased here, but come on. Look at him!
Lastly, we created our own cartoon images of ourselves. I am not sure why we started doing this but she found a cool app that allowed you to do this. I think we did pretty well nailing how we truly look. I wish they had a slightly different color of blonde because I do not believe my hair is yellow and I think that could have made me look more believable. Andrea is pretty spot on though. We had so much fun together and I am looking forward to our girls weekend coming up very soon!
