Ribs, Ribs, Ribs
So the title sounds like something you would see on a BBQ menu. I made some pork spare ribs last night and I'm not ashamed to say that they were bad to the bone (that mean's they were super good). I smoked them on my gas grill. Huh? Yep, gas. I seared them first about 5 minutes on each side then set them up in a rib rack. I put a bowl of water in there and about 4 big wood chunks. I turned the gas to about slow-medium on the side the ribs weren't on and they caught the wood chunks on fire. Once the wood chunks caught on fire I blew them out and let the smoke fill up the grill. End result, the meat was falling off the bone. Put a little Dink's on them and it made them that much better. For everyone that doesn't know what Dink's is, it is the best BBQ joint in Oklahoma hands down. It's in Bartlesville. Sorry, I know I was going to do a one sentence post but the ribs deserved much more praise than one sentence :)

Tuesday
What's up readers! By the way, my son is so cute. If you disagree than you are an idiot. Anyone in the Tulsa area, the big Home and Garden show is coming up and I want you to come out and see us there. Jackie and my favorite mother in law are working it for the first time this year and they are both super excited :)
I'm going to smoke some pork spare ribs tonight and invite our neighbor's over. I've made them once before and everyone said they liked them but I thought they could have cooked just a little longer.
Does anyone else do a blog? There is only so much you can put into one of these things on a daily basis. I could talk about what Will did for the day but that mainly consists of pulling out all his toys and Jackie picking them up. On the next blog I'm going to describe what we did in one sentence and that is going to be the blog for the day.

Sunday

Jackie and I aren't doing much today. We went to Bartlesville yesterday to see her grandparents and her uncle who was in town. If you go to B-ville you have to pick up some Dink's BBQ. That's what we did and we brought it home for lunch after church. Here is that play set we set up in our backyard. Notice the roof; yeah I built that. I just stained it too so now it is a reddish color. Hopefully tomorrow at bowling I will do better than a 110, ouch! That is what I got one of my games last week. I think it was the worst game I have ever had. I followed it up with a 180 and got a free popcorn for getting 5 strikes in a row so there was a least a happy ending. Have a great week everyone.

Cute Little Boy

Hey there everyone! Steven, Will, and I are just having another night at home. Will is thrilled because Daddy finally finished the playset today. It was an unusual 81 degree day today in February, so we all LOVED that! Tonight I went to Kohl's and Target and purchased Will some new 2T clothes. They are still too big and fall off of my skinny boy but I know (or hope) he will grow into them soon. 26 pounds is just not too much for a 2 year old! Will LOVES this blanket. He calls it his "mine". I am not sure how that began. This thing goes everywhere with him. I am proud to say though he knows that it stays in the car when we go places. I did not want him carrying around an adult size blanket in Wal-Mart or church. That would be a sight!!!! I promise some preggo pictures will come soon. I just don't want to expose my belly until I think I look at least decent:) Until next time....

Nother Day

Thanks everyone for reading our blog, stalkers :) So we made pancakes yesterday morning on our new griddle. Griddle? Yep, I had someone make me a griddle that covers all four burner on our gas stove. It's pretty cool and works very well; easy to clean too. Papi (Mike) is coming to pick Will up this morning and take him on errands. I think they are going to end up at Barnes & Noble reading some books. Will loves to read books. I know he didn't get that from his daddy. That's a good thing though that he likes to read. He's going to be very smart. Jackie said she felt Owen move for the first time yesterday. She said he was doing flips in her stomach. I have to get the surgery sometime now after Owen is born. Yes, the clip & snip down there. Ouch!!! Well, today is just another day of watching Curious George for Will and Jackie and I've got a couple appointments and have to set my guys up on a project. Have a great day.

Poker
It's poker night. Us guys get together once a month and play at someones house. Tonight we are playing at Mike's cousins house. My parents came up from Norman yesterday. We went and ate lunch at the Brook off Peoria. It was pretty good. I had some chicken fingers that gave me some seriously stinky farts later. Let's just say Jackie was not to happy when I pulled a dutch oven on her in bed. For all you that don't know what that is, it is where you let a really stinky fart and then you pull the covers over the head of the other person. Usually they don't appreciate it. I also saw the movie "The International" yesterday. It wasn't bad. Well, time to go win some chips.

Girls Night
Jackie went out with the girls tonight. I guess they call it a gift exchange and this month it was anything pink. Jackie got a really cool OU hat. That's my girl. Will and daddy went and saw aunt Angie at Roadhouse. Will loves his AA. Every table around us, no joke, told me how cute Will was. The boy is major cute and that's for sure. Jackie and I are going to go eat lunch with my parents (Nana and Papa as Will calls them) tomorrow at the Brook. They are coming into town to stay at a little bed and breakfast down in the Brookside area.
Sunday is church and Will is starting do great there now. Last week he even waved by to us as we were walking out, rather than clutching my pant leg and screaming my name.
